Scientific name: Luscinia megarhynchos

Its total length ranges from 16 to 17 cm, with a wing length of 78 to 90 millimeters. It weighs between 20 and 25 grams.

Nightingales are found in areas with dense vegetation, such as forests and thickets, and they prefer moist environments like rivers and streams. This species is rarely seen, as it tends to stay hidden.

The nightingale is an insectivore, feeding on insects and worms that it finds on the ground.
