House sparrows are between 13 and 18 centimeters long, have a wingspan of 19 to 25 cm and weigh between 10 and 40 grams.
They live close to humans, both in cities and in the countryside, and feed on seeds, flowers, insects and food scraps left behind by humans.
They lay up to eight eggs, which are incubated by both parents, usually for 12 to 14 days.
