About 23.5-29 cm long, with a wingspan of 34-38 cm and a weight of 80-125 g, depending on sex and season.
The house sparrow is omnivorous and feeds on a variety of insects, worms and berries.
It is one of the most widespread species in the country. Its habitat is forests, pastures with hedges, urban parks and gardens, dense scrubland and also riparian galleries.
