Kirche trifft Kunst und Musik
(Church meets Art and Music)
At 9:30 a.m., a festive high mass will be held to mark the 925th anniversary of the local community of Kehrig, with musical accompaniment by the Mandolinenclub Elztalecho Kehrig e.V.
Throughout the day, artists from Kehrig will be presenting their works in the church. Look forward to seeing Cristina Archer, Helmut Dietz, Iris Fuhrmann, Monika Geisen-Spengler, Ingo Linz, Heinrich Simonis and Elli Werner.
At 5:30 p.m., the concert “Musik verbindet” (Music connects) will take place with the mandolin orchestra conducted by Thomas Braun. Classical and contemporary music will be performed, including Irish, Latin American and film music.
This is an offering within the framework of the “kirchRAUMpilot*innen” project. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Home Affairs until spring 2027 in cooperation with the Vordereifel municipality, the Diocese of Trier and the University of Koblenz. The aim of the project is to strengthen cohesion and social interaction within village communities. Churches, as traditional places of community, can become new social meeting places for everyone in the village through expanded or new uses.
Everyone is invited to get involved and join the kirchRAUMpilot*innen initiative group in Kehrig, whether young or old, religious or non-religious, long-established or new to the area…
